My Mother, Mio Padrona is inspired by the series Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter, written by Laurell K. Hamilton. If you have read at least part of the series (and I hope you read them in order!) then feel free to add onto the story. Try to stay within reasonable boundaries, though. Julia is 16 when she is sent back in time, eighteen years, to her mother and father. This is six years before her parents will have their baby. She will be twenty-one when she returns to her father in the future Milan. Julia is named after Jolie Anais Pascal. Jolie was an Eternal Guardian, one of the first EG's. The backgroubnd is, basically, that many, many, many (about 500) years ago Claudio was a regular normal French guy. He met and fell in love with this mysterious woman, Jolie. Jolie turns out to be one of the first, one of the original EG's. She is in fact the second in command to Joash Aspen Rainier. Joash was Jolie's cousin, as well as comrade. Long before the public knew their world was under attack, the EG's knew. They were chosen by the First Prince, and he had given them thier gifts and their curse. In turn they had eventually given it to others. The Eternal Guardians fight,a nd they are the only ones standing between the enemies, (as of yet their kind are unnamed) and humanity. Once, the EG were secret. Now they are known throughtout the world, and they hold the cities that have not yet fallen. Milan of Italy is one of those. Claudio holds the city, but he fears what will happen now. Before he was not one of the EG that held a city, before he was free to go where he pleased. After Jolie's death the Second Prince, Joash, had wanted to kill him. Jolie was not supposed to die, it was not something EG's did. Jolie had died to save Claudio. Joash blamed him for her sacrifice, and the only thing that kept Joash from killing Claudio immediately was Cassandra. Cassandra was Joash's mate, and the new second to him. Cassandra had been with Jolie when they'd been taken but had been enslaved instead of killed. CLaudio had saved her, and Joash had let him go. And now that Claudio was the new holder of Milan, he wonders. What will Joash do now? And then Julie enters into the picture. Named for Joash's cousin, the one he loved best... Worst of all is the enemy. It is the EG powers of Claudio alobe that keep the city safe from the invaders. If they see weakness they will start a consistent and non-stop attack on the shieldthe Claudio has to protect his city. Up til now the enemy had always thought Milan an impregnable city. Would they sense weakness and begin an assault... And if they do, what will happen to Claudio's shield?
