Hi there! How interesting that I saw this. I have always wondered the same. I, too, am a MANUNTAG and have always thought we were very few and I thought I knew all of them but apparently, I don't because the internet is full of other people that share my last name. My father's roots are from Cabalantian, Bacolor Zone 5, Pampanga which no longer exists due to Mt. Pinatubo. I would be interested in what you find out in your search. I'm sure we must be related somehow in the family tree. My grandfather's name is Luciano Manuntag. I live in the Bay Area in California. Anyway, let me know if I can help and would love to hear from you. If you go to Google.com and enter MANUNTAG, you will see other names of MANUNTAG's. Take care.... |

Hi I'm Architect Manuntag, based in Makati, MM and i was born in Sn. Fernando, Pampanga. My grandfather's name is Alejandro De Jesus Manuntag, maybe this would help in your search. I'm going to ask more information about Manuntag's clan and i will let you know of the results. c",) |

hi, my dad was raised in arayat pampangga and he speaks good kapampangan.. i like our language but i don't know how to speak it can you guys help me too learn to speak it. it would be an honor for me to learn such a wonderful language of my ancestors. |

It's been years since I started this thread. And still, the roots of the manuntag surname remain unanswered. It's likely that our first ancestors came from pampanga as there are a lot of manuntags in pampanga. But it would be awesome if we actually knew who the first manuntags and how they came up with our surname. But I guess it's too late to learn that now, unless someone kept an old record about it or consider it as water under the bridge.
