Funny spells? I don't think there really are any, unless it is stage magic. It's kind of a serious thing, I mean you can have fun with it, in fact I think that makes it stronger, but it's not something to play around with. I do have some spells that I found on the internet and in books, if you like I could post some or e-mail them to you. I guess I don't really know what you mean by funny spell. |

wow how ironic is this!!!! but I just found a spell, on the children of Artemis (www.witchcraft.org), to cheer you up, literally!!! here you go I hope this helps: Spell To Cheer You Up For this simple spell you will need an orange candle and a small circle of paper slightly smaller in diameter than the base of the candle. Draw a smiling face on the piece of paper. Take the candle in your hands and strongly "see" yourself happy, smiling, cheerful and confident. Then put the smiley face in a candle holder and push the candle into the holder on top of the paper. Place the candle in a fireproof container (a cast iron cauldron would be ideal if you have one, or otherwise a bowl of damp earth or sand), put the container in a safe place away from curtains, draughts, animals and children etc. Light the candle, thinking of yourself as happy and cheerful as you do so, then leave it to burn out. This spell will give you a charge of positive energy which will lift your spirits and help you through a period of depression, flatness or tiredness. blessed be!!! |

I don't know if Jamie is still on here, but I did read about a mother who would create balls of love energy that she would then toss at her children when they fought. She claims the arguments would end and they would usually begin laughing. Not really a spell, but I think an interesting to remind those around you that they are loved. |

We aren't supposed to post spells on here. Some people that don't know any better could come, read it, and then try the spell without taking any precautions. They could get hurt or they could hurt someone else. Just e-mail each other; it's safer for those that are just messing around. This isn't Sabrina. |

I have just read on the home page of this site, under sharing, that spells IS one of the things that the site encourages us to share with each other. It would be a bit of a contradiction for someone to feel that there are rules and boundaries to adhere to on a site that is promoting the exploration of the solitary witch. As I understand it, being a hedge witch or a solitary witch, is to create your own rules and to get away from confinement. I find it very uplifting to read about the spells that other witches may use. Please share more! |

I think we're safe talking about "funny spells" under this thread. Let's not abandon common sense in our discussions. If the topic was hexing, or even something of a more benign, but serious character, perhaps greater caution would be warranted. Inexperienced practitioners have little likelihood of harming themselves or others in either case, whereas more experienced types don't need that sort of advice anyway. Generally, I think we should encourage responsible study and practice. I know I need to work harder! |
