My wife and I fished Carters on Tuesday. We just about had the whole lake to ourselves. Guess it was too hot for most people. We caught 17 fish, mostly on crickets. Started around 7:30 in Fisher Creek where the water temp. was 82. We did not catch any fish until about 9:00. Left the area about 11:30 and fished the main river by Ridgeway. The water temp was 87-88 up there and we only caught 4 bluegill by 3 PM. In total, we caught 4 spotted bass, 2 small catfish, and the rest were bluegill. I managed to catch one 13 inch spot on a tri-color gig(3 inch size, Bass Pro Shop brand). Just could not get much action on artificial lures, but we had an enjoyable day anyway.
