Latest nice things: Jim Jones Revue, Heavy Trash (that's Jon Spencer's 'other band'), The Drones, Tom Allalone And The 78s (reminiscent of Costello/Feelgoods, but they're YOUNG), the Singing Loins, Soundtrack Of Our Lives. Loved the comeback shows by Magazine (squint at the Jools Holland footage, you might catch a blur that is me), and had a fun time interviewing Poly Styrene and Rowland S Howard |

"Magazine" Yes, t'was rather fine to hear some music from under the floorboards again! I noticed a rather fine looking cove a bit like Johnny Depp in the background-I'm sure that was you. A pity that Richard won't come out of the kitchen and do some kind of DOM tour to surf the wave of nostalgia, but I suspect that the poor chap is a prisoner of his own misplaced rhetoric. Nah that weren't me. I'm the one flouting the Beeb dress code. |
