Welcome to the forum of the International Brotherhood of Fathers with Daughters. If you're a father and she's your daughter, feel free to join in. If you do not have a daughter, leave before we kick your ass because we know what you're thinking. This forum is moderated and don't curse or flame. We're here to brag,discuss,question and vent about those lovely little women we (with alot of help) made. |

Amen! My family is often a bit like the Brady Bunch on acid, but it has given me a total of three daughters to worry about. All are 15-16 years in age, and I am about as protective as they get. I like to bring the prospective young men into the den to speak for a few minutes while they await said daughters final touch-ups on make-up and the likes. I let them get a good view of the martial arts weaponry hanging on the walls there and make it very clear what we expect and when they are to be home. We have scared off more than a few, but that is just as well. After all, if they are thinking of hooking up with any of my daughters, only the strongest of them would survive in any case. If they can't handle dealing with me, they darned sure are not ready to deal with what comes after their encounters with me. |

The best I did for my oldest happened one Friday evening. I was a chef by choice. Yes the young man came into the kitchen to wait. While being polite and going through the drill, listening well, I took out the cutting board, the 14 inch french knife and one small frozen hot dog. Even and quick chops left the young man speechless. I put everything away before she dazzeled us. Daughter was home at 10:30 sharp. She confided that after being more than tiffed I was right and his bravado faded quickly. She never went out with him again. Tom |

Excellent ideas Toma nd Ken. The martial arts swords and stuff....the slicing hot dog demonstration....very cool. I plan to have a similar little "sit-down" with any guy that wants to date my daughter. Of course, I have some years to think about it...she is only 3. |
