Maybe I should have done this first rather than a reply to David. My name is Pat van Putten (obviously) and my grandmother was Charlotte Hall dob 14 Nov 1888 Alva Clackmannanshire. In the 1901 census she is listed as being the adopted daughter of Peter and Agnes McIntosh, initially this was something I could not work out although my mother Annie Mackay often talked about Grannie McIntosh, further inestigation showed that her mother Isabella Robertson dob 1860 Dunfermaline died in Alva in 1890 and the girls were split up, four in all, Isabella Cramb Hall born Alva 1882, Robina Snadon Hall Alva 1884, Charlotte Alva 1888 and Christine Alva 1886. As said in 1901 Charlotte with the McIntosh's, Christine (Aunt Chris) with a family in James St Alva, Robina in Alva and Isabella with the Robertsons in Glasgow. I would dearly love to get in touch with David Cramb Wilson as it appears my grandmother was brought up with his family, I have had difficulty with his website and cannot get thru to him, does anyone have an e.mail address ?? it would be appreciated so much. Thank you Pat van Putten (in Queensland Australia) |
