I am researching Mathew Crome b ca 1850 who married Fanny Jane Theresa Bennett in Melbourne in 1884. Fanny was my greatgrandmother's sister. Mathew gave his parents as Mathew and Mary King. At the present time these have not been found. However, as I have been going through the Scottish censuses have noticed that the name Crome changes to Cromie, Crone and Cronie from one census to the next. So don't discount the Crones. I would like to hear from anyone who has information about Cronie from Wigtownshire.Thanks
