Motor swapping a flathead for the 5.3l vortech. I have come to a delema of fitting the engine under the cab. The newer engine is wider than that of the flathead. has anyone put a newer engine into a 47 Ford style COE. If so whats the best fit and what engine Thanks. |

Hi Dave I think you may be on your own here as I can't think of anyone else that has done your type of swap, me I am putting a 302 Cleveland with Auto behind the Cab, good luck. Bill |

Thanks for your reply Bill, I have seen that type of engine location, The only problem i Might have is the coe was shorten. and i have a pickup style bed, i am going to measure the space behind the cab, Thanks for the idea. |
