Hi today we were woken by the noise of frantic splashing in the pond. We came down to see mass spawning taking place. They are still at it nearly 8 hours later. I have been scooping some of the eggs out and putting them in the filters and our densly planted fish pond to give some a chance to hatch. We did this a couple of times before and out of the thousands of eggs about half a dozen each time grew to maturity. Wish us luck, we may get something nice. |
