Here are some facts and figures about visits to our web site. Interesting I think. The site gets quite a lot of visits daily. Since Jan 2009 has had 918 visits – see statistics below. Page Loads 918 Unique Visitors 760 First Time Visitors 416 Returning Visitors 344 That's an average of about 5 a day |

Tass Apologies for posting here but my email to your msn address was returned as undeliverable. My Nana (Elsie Sheriff) worked at Barton Hall through the ‘60s until her retirement in the early ‘70s. My brother and I used to stay with her on occasions and we often attended the Christmas parties. I have no idea of her job title but I guess, as she had that whole end block of the accommodation, she was in charge of admin. Perhaps you , or any of your members could shed some light for me? I’ve visited the site a few times over the years and have shed more than a few tears whilst there – lost childhood memories and all that. Is there a ‘history of Barton Hall’ anywhere? Barry, if you look at the top of the page just above where you clicked for the message board, you will find the history button. There won't be anything about your nan on there though. Val Cain (nee Yates) remembers her and I am going to ask her to put a reply on here for you. However, she is not a computer geek so I may have to get the info and post it myself. She did tell me that your nan was in charge of the civilian ladies accommodation block |
