hello my name is Maureen. I'm 49. Three weeks ago I was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Guess you could say it hasn't really sunk in yet, but it will. I'm taking aricept and suffering a few side affects, but doing well otherwise. I'm also caregive to both my parents. My dad is on the last stages of lung cancer, it's only a matter of time now, and my mom has breast cancer. They are 80 and 81. So needless to say I'm in a state of worry all round for all of us. My kids don't really want to talk about things with me as they are in denial. I've so many feelings and thoughts that need to come out..so many fears..it's a lonely time for emotions and all I need is to find someone who will be willing to talk with me..I look forward to hearing from you. you can contact me via my mail.....scrunchin@sympatico.ca..maybe we can chat on msn or something..I don't sleep well anymore and have many late nites so a chat would be nice..take care and God Bless you all.
