Greg, I have a friend who a purchased GT with a 4.3 type engine in it. I looked at it very closely. It didn't appear to have any changes done in the sheet metal in the engine bay but due to the height of the engine and carburetor there was an enormous hood scoop blocking the view from the drivers seat. He said it drove like a log wagon and handled badly He bought a GT from me with a 3.1 FWD engine that was converted by me. It has around 190 HP. He said the 3.1 GT would outperform the 4.3 in every way. I recommend using the very lightweight 3.4 FWD conversion for maximum power to weight ratio using a smaller V6. This conversion has been very successful as a perfect transplant. If he would like to speak to him email me or want to know more about 3.4 conversions let me know. I will get his email address for you if you would like to know more. Dann, BRITISH CAR CONVERSIONS -- Manufacturers of Killer B Conversions http://killerbv6.com British Car Conversions |
