if an immate finds out they have cancer while serving a sentance, does the prison pay for their treatment... i was writing someone who said they have cancer from smoking, and that they have to have treatments that the prison wont pay for and the money has to be deposited in their account and it will be deducted from their account. does this happen, it just dosent seem right to me, i believe i am being taken for a sucker by my uncle. |

Yes the state will pay for the treatments. If the offender is telling you he needs money to pay for the treatments he is lying to you and scamming you. They normally go to Hospital Galveston for the cancer treatments. |

Yes, TDCJ does the cancer treatment and it is not charged to the Inmate. Flo, PAPA http://www.peopleagainstprisonabuse.com AWARENESS |
