ok, here's the other side. I am going to post this at my own risk. I saw several offenders this past week requesting low bunks. #1. "I need a low bunk because I have a steel rod in my leg". Patient claims steel rod was placed 16 years ago, and that leg gives way at times. Admits no care for leg when free. I offered full work up, "no, I just need low bunk". Do you really expect me to believe you've fallen for 16 years & done nothing? #2. "need low bunk because I used to shoot up & had skin graft 3 years ago, I can't hold onto the ladder". This man's arms were so muscular & toned, they remind be of the Kalifornia Govenor's. I offered x-rays & work up, he did aggree to this. Please. These are just amalagms of what I hear every week. Please people, be honest about your problems and you will be helped. Having the low bunk is a status thing. Prison takes away your right to wear your own clothes, eat what you want, shower when you want etc, have to find some way to be special. Please tell your offender loved ones to never lie, never fake, never go into medical and demand something they don't really need. |

you should NEVER ASSUME a person is lying reguarding medical issues.You take it seriously. |
