Yes, polystigma is over, Around a month before before our 5th year anniversary. Jaime no longer has the desire or determination to keep the band going so its all come to an end. *** I'd just like to say it was an honour playing in Polystigma for the last 5 years, it was my first band but definitely wont be my last. Polystigma has opened many doors for us and we've had the priveledge of taking part in things we'd only ever have dreamed possible. Im sure if you read our bio (which I will update as soon as I find the time) you will see all the fantastic things we've take part in. Id very much like to thank all the people who have been members of Polystigma throughout the years - Maryanne, Kirsten, Wayne, Jaime and Clint. This wouldnt have happened without them. Managing Polystigma is something Im very proud of, I only wish Id had the time to take it as far as I had planned too... but all good things come to an end. And polystigma, like something good, has. hahah. Lastly, Id like to thank you. Thankyou to all the people who along the way have offered words of enthusiasm and support; stuck by us when things were quiet; offered us numerous opportunities just because you wanted to and most importantly have been our friends. I only hope you can realise how much you have genuinely impacted on this entire experience and on my heart. *tear to the eye* Thankyou for being such a large part of why I love music. Thankyou for being a motivation and an inspiration. *** This isnt the last you'll see of us. Two new potential band are in the works... Clint and I will be jamming with pete and jono from the band Domestic Clone Unit in the near future... And Matt (Ian Baddley) from The Drugs has asked to me to play Bass in a new band he has started up. *** Also, if any bands are interested in management or even a spot of advice or help here and there drop me a line sobriquet17@hotmail.com, Id only be more than glad to help out. *** Lastly, The doors (or servers) of Polystigma are never closed. www.polystigma.live.com.au will always get you back home. As many of you have been for such a long time, dont forget to visit the site, you never know what'll pop up... new mp3s, news of the new bands, super secret stuff... Ill always be here. Always. bummer, not really a great wise word but still bummer, you guys were no way by far the reason i picked up a guitar and decided to learn to play, but you's were the first band i ever looked up to musically, you inspired me to go for bigger fish instead of settling for being in a cover band in some seedy pub, it seems a bit of a downer to me to see that you didn't make it as far as i hoped you would and had faith in you making, and also i always wanted to do a gig with the band that pretty much introduced me to how good a small time band can be, i'm really crap at goodbyes, i'd rather just slip out quietly so no one knows i've left, but thanks for the shows i went to, and thanks for the inspiration rock on and rock onward |

That was truly a beautiful speech kimb. I'm going to miss Polystigma the most! (if anyone would like to argue with that feel free..) seriously though, Polystigma has been my favourite band even before I heard the music, back then it was just 3 mad grungey chicks with a cool website, but now it is so much more. I will continue to listen to your music and so will plenty of others, dont forget that! The thing that saddens me the most about this break up is that I never got to see Polystigma play live! when I come down to sydney kimb I expect a concert dammit! even if its just a one-man-band performance hahah just jokin. take care guys, good luck with your new band Kimb and Clint! and good luck in whatever you go on to do Jaime, I hope everything turns out great!! http://www.stigmastreetteam.cjb.net The Street Team - Supporting Polystigma. |

But Polystigma can't split! Dammit! :( Hey, just wanna say thanks heaps for dealin with my website and lettin me have your music and pictures up. Polystigma were one of the first bands I ever heard on Mp3.com.au which helped inspire me to start my website to hopefully show the world how much talent the Australian music scene has. Songs like "Green", "Ground", Spite, "Lowlight", "Acidroom" and of course Kimb's favourite (sarcasm) "Reason Why", will always remain classics in my heart and the new songs like "Such a mouth" and "Dead Air" are even more awesome. I hope you continue to bring us great musical experiences in your future projects. Dammit Jaime YOU HAVE THE BEST VOICE DON'T WASTE IT! And Kimb you are way too cool for words, thanks for the interview mate, it was the best. Keep in touch. See ya round. :) http://www.crustymusic.com |

Thanks to each of you. Chris - for being such a cool supporter and leaving insights on the forum early in the mornings when you were drunk. Also for coming out to shows. Hang onto those tshirts we made! Becky - For doing so so much - and without seeing the band play! i think you've been our number one supporter. making our street team website and a yahoo website. You've just been unbelievably suportive. Crusty - For promoting us and loving us! Again, someone who hasnt seen us play live. Thanks for believing in us enough to have us one your website. We owe and appreciate each of you. |

thank you polystigma!! Even though the band have split up, memories and accomplishments will always be there, im my eyes you will always be that hard working band who did as many shows as they can just because they wanted to go on stage and rock out and have the best time of their lives. The band who did something original. Cant wait for the future projects! http://www.adrenalinezine.cjb.net adrenaline zine - aussie hard rock/metal zine |

theres a reason for everything that happens although that reason isnt always that clear. like when people die, its always sadder and more painful for the people they leave behind for themselves. whatever happens to u guys, self serve will still be a regular visitor to my player and will always hold a special spot on the cd stack :-D |

Ned - Thanks for coming along to heaps of our shows and really enjoying what we do and having us on your website. Thanks for the kind words. Ron - Its a shame you only got to be around for the tail end of Polystigma but you've definitely been a fantastic supporter and believer in what we've had to offer. Everything certainly happens for a reason... this is just a beginning. |

is stigma mail still happening? if it is i expect updates on the new directions of the band members, the most distressing and depressing moment of my adult life has been the polystigma break up, but as long as the world still turns with at least some members of a band i've grown to truly admire, i think i can make it, craftless haven't even played a gig and i'm concidering different and more motivated people to be in it... sure stu is probably the most kick arse drummer i've know, (or even ever) and justin is a king of bass, i'm looking for open minded people for pretty much just jams at the mo, a singer drummer and bassist would be cook, and creativity is a bonus, kimb, clint and any other people that wanna try for a brand new musical talent please email me at incesant@hotmail.com as drunk as i am yes it's speled right, i'm a perfectionist rock on and rock onward |
