Milnagvie & Bearsden Hearld Friday April 24 2209Does anyone agree or disagree with the decision on CALA & Milne getting the go ahead to build more then 500 homes in Milngavie/Bearsden & knocking down Allander sports center & the golf range would disappear aswell. The area targeted from hillfoot in Bearsden to Auchenhowie Milngavie. There will be a lose of greenbelt land, more cars on milngavie road/other roads, no added cars parks to name a few issues here against the plan. With the number of new people coming into the area due to this idiotic plan milngavie would be at breaking point & added pressure on the environment with more road pollution (hypocritical of the government's talk to reduce this) more pressure on the council to provide service with less cash. Milngave has had its heart riped out over the years with many changes & the lose of the blackbull hotel & many I would not agree to. Milngavie is not milngave any more its unrecognisable.
