Un grupo de heróicos magos brasileros, se enfrentaron hace 4 años a la poderosa "Globo Tv", después que ésta presentara la serie de programas de Mr. M. El caso de Brasil fue muy especial ya que los programas del enmascarado se encararon desde una perspectiva denigrante para nuestro arte. Se daba a entender que los magos engañábamos a nuestro público y que Mr. M. nos conbatía frente al público que nosotros lesionábamos. De hecho en Brasil, el enmascarado se presentaba como "El enemigo N°1 de los magos". Nosotros, o nuestros colegas de Brasil, quedaban en ridículo, por lo que mermarons sus contratos y actuaciones, ya que con toda la maquinaria propia de una empresa gigante de Tv., se transformó la percepción que el público tenía de nuestra profesión. Después de 4 años muy duros en los que ninguno de los colegas desfalleció, después de enfrentarse al chantaje, y al poder económico de la más grande cadena de Tv. de Brasil, nuestos colegas lo han conseguido. Dear friends and colleagues of Brazil and Exterior, It is with extreme satisfaction - with the sensation of the fulfilled duty - and in "FIRST HAND", that we desire to share with all so waited SENTENCE of brazilian Justice ("Gaucha") on the legal action that, SEPARATELY, 22 heroic brazilian magicians, also integrant of the "Association of the Magical Gauchos Victims of the Fantastic Program" ([b]of which I was its first president - time where this action was petitioned[/b]) had moved against the " Television Globe" for the spreading, during all the year of 1999, of the exibition of "Masked Magician) in the "Fantastic" Program. It seemed to work. The problem with fighting it in the media or courts is that you give them free PR... Good luck in your continued fight!!! Bjørn

Kim Flores	posted 12/10/08 1:15 AM       Fighting a losing battle does not matter, there are other ways to fight, but maybe fighting is not the answer, seeing as magic, to me, is not about fighting. It is more about love, the magic of feelings. We must use the power that we can have as performers, to change things. Robert Houdin stopped a war with the Light and Heavy chest illusion.
