Hi, I am deeply involved in a project to seperate and define the various Hileman/Heilman/Heilmann etc family lines. The Hileman Project is doing this by comparing YDNA samples from the various family lines. I would very much like to hear from descendants of Michael Hileman (1756-1849). Michael lived in Frankstown & Hollidaysburg, PA. He died in 1849 at Frankstown PA and is buried in Geeseytown Cemetery, Near Frankstown, PA. It is my hope I'll be able to find a male (only male's have the YDNA needed) Hileman descendant of Michael who would be willing to donate a YDNA sample (via a cheek swab, takes 3 seconds to do and submit via mail) to the project. This would be of no charge to the donor. Any help would be greatly appreciated by the Hileman Project. Thanks, Hal Hileman hhileman@frontiernet.net

Hal: My husband is a direct descendant of Michael Hileman, pioneer founder of Frankstown, Pa. My husband's grandfather was Harold A. Hileman, son of Harriet Hileman and grandson of William K. Hileman. William K. was the son of Michael Hileman's youngest son, Joseph. We have three sons, all descendant, too, of course. I am working on family genealogy and have found seme very interesting material on William K. and William C. Hileman (first cousins) and their service in the Civil War. Please contact me.
