hi-- is saw your post in the iron board, but thought it more suiting to ask you a question here. i have diffuse areata and was wondering what courses you've taken for your AT. i am seeing one of the tops specialists in the world and she has me starting minoxidil (for temporary use--to kick start, hopefully, the follicles). have you tried this? claire

Yes, I have tried this and I had great results!!! I used 2% at first then I moved to 5%. I had to have it mixed to that strength. It really helped my hair grow. My hair took a real turn for the worse then I got pregnant and had to stop all medications for AA. Nature took its course and here I am two years later wearing a wig. Since I had my son I have been put on this stuff called tacrolimus (or something like that) it is really greasy and I only apply it before bed.

Before you try minoxidil ... remember that it must be taken FOR LIFE. If you quit ... you will lose all the hair you gained, and more. A better solution is light therapy at www.lovenewhair.com All the best.
