Hello Familia Picnic plans are shaping up! It will be held in the same location as last time, I will send everyone a flyer with directions & info. I NEED YOUR ADDRESSES! EMAIL TO ME PRONTO!! (if you havent already done so) Just like last time, it will be a potluck, so be sure and bring plenty for you & some to share. We all want to taste everyone's specialties & test their "culinary" talents! There will be BBQ facilities at this park. The color scheme can remain the same, or you can change, I believe Tia Lola posted everyones colors at the last picnic, so you can read up on that. If you are going to change, please post your new color, so there wont be a duplicate :) Last time, we also all made up a "family slogan" for each family...for example, we were "Chata's Cria's", so if you feel creatively inclined, please do so again. We will have crafts & games for the kids, and races & competition for the old folks. Trophies will be given out as well as runner up prizes. We are asking for donations from each family...that is to say "Chatas family, Maria's family, etc" (NOT each person), of $30.00 to cover the costs of trophies, and craft supplies. You can pony up on the date of the picnic or send the fundage to me at Tia Chata's address. Email me if you dont have that. There is family coming from all over the country and the world. If you have extra space to share (Los Angelinos) or automobiles to loan, please post or email me so I can share with the incoming folk. We will have a memento to commemorate the event and we need a "slogan"...we are now taking suggestions...ex: Gomez Gathering 2003, etc. email me with suggestions, the winner will get full recognition, and a headline story in the Los Angeles Times...just kidding...but you will get mentioned in the GomezGazette! :) Lastly...I know we all feel the same when I say that being together, and being a family is so important... now, more than ever...I look forward to seeing everyone & being a FAMILIA!!!! Hello familia... Please advise what addresss should our contibution go to...??? We will send you a money order as soon as we receive a correct address. Reunion time is approaching faster than we anticipated. We are looking forward to seeing everyone and having a good time. We are working on everything else that needs to be done (t-shirts, etc.). Please advise if we can do anything else from Texas. |
