melinda, will be leaving from san diego on her ship to the Persian Golf on January 6,:( she will be gone for about 7 to 8 months. Melinda we will miss you very much have a safe trip be very careful take care see you when you get back. Love You, Tia Rosa |

Hi Tia, Carolina it's been a while since we heard from you.in regards to your question yes i do keep intouch with melinda i e-mail her almost everyday and the girls send her letters and card's so she won't feel so sad knowing she is so far away from her family she is doing very well she told me that she has had her third small pox shot today she should be arriving in the Persian Golf she did not give me to many detial's because of security reasons they are one day ahead of us if you wish to E_MAIL her this is her E-Mail address gomezh@tarawa.navy.mil |

Just a note to let you know that we'll pray for Melinda's safe return. I know first hand how difficult it is when a loved one is so far away in times of global uncertainty. Thanks for providing us with her e-mail. |

Thanks Rosita. I know it's been awhile since I've been online with everyone. For some reason I just can't stay up as late as I used to....LOL Could age have something to do with it!!!! Anyways, I too would like to thank you for getting Melinda's email address. I will try and keep in touch with her. |

Rosita, you can be sure I'll write her. I wish I had written Beto and Joaquin when they were serving in Vietnam, but back then I was just a kid, not knowing what it all meant. May the Good Lord bless Melinda. |

Hello everyone, It's Melinda Grandpa Chava's grand daughter. I just wanted to say hi and to say thank you family for your thoughts and prayers. Right now I'm 10 miles of the coast of Kuwait in the Gulf. Unfortunalty, My ship will be back July 13th so i won't be there for the reunion. Hi Tia Rosa, I love and miss you.
