RONY, a 16 months baby boy suffering from congenital heart disease, is facing serious cardiac complications, with high temperature and acute pain in heart gradually shortening his life.He needs an Open Heart Surgery.He needs to be taken to Madras in India for the operation because in Bangladesh there is no scope to operate upon such a less-weight baby. The parents of the baby are too poor to provide the money, approximately Tk. 4 lakh (USD 7110), for the treatment. Rony's mother Parvin Ahmed, a staff nurse in the Central Hospital Ltd. desperate to see her baby recover from the heart disease, applied to the office of the Prime Minister for help but was disappointed.
