After checking out the website, and having a day off, I called up Sugar Creek. I had just bought a new pump action shotgun and wanted to try it out on some skeet, to see if I could even hit a clay pigeon, before investing more money into duck hunting gear. I made my way there, albeit a bit lost at first, and met Brian and a couple of other shooters. All great guys! I ended up getting 13 in the first round of 25 shots of skeet, and blew it with 9 on the second round. All in all a great way to spend the day off, and I have already called up co-workers to see about heading back there for a weekend of skeet. There is nothing in Bloomington, and Triple H Gun club had that horrible fire, so this worked out well. I highly recommend Sugar Creek's facilites. It was very casual and non-pressured. Great for the beginner like me! Look forward to doing it again soon. $4 per round of 25 shots well spent. Thank you, Jason Dicks |
