Funny how long it takes this site to get updated after a 4-0 clinic was handed out to LAprep.....I can see it now...."LAPrep started off unlucky when they lost the coin toss. It seemed as if the the fates of the gods were against them....but in the end, we held our own and held the state champs to only 4 goals."
Benji posted 3/22/02 10:01 PM
You are soo cool. I'm amazed you can write long big words. Did you look through a dictionary for them? Thanks for telling us what we already know.

Since when did this become a kid soccer forum?
Solid Snake247 posted 3/26/02 3:26 PM
Hmmm....probably ever since they let Div 2 teams in Div 1.
On a serious note, do any of y'all also play in the Gonzales league?
BRSA member posted 3/26/02 11:53 PM
If there ever was any question what kind of character some of the members of the Fahrenheit have, it has been answered. I played in the SELASA league a few years back, and the perennial champion Olympiakos would beat the Fahrenheit by at least 4. Fahrenheit might have some good Open League quality players, but none of them did anything in college or in the minor leagues. I don't know if any of their players were even offered a soccer scholarship. LAprep, if they give you any more trouble, just ask them how they did in their last tournament in Texas.
HorseLover posted 3/27/02 8:00 PM
alright anonymous laprep player, aka "brsa member", you can quit pretending and making up facts - nothing about what you posted above is true, except for the fact we didn't do well in houston. when you trash talk, at least use the truth. we spanked you 4-0, how well do you think you would have done?
Coach posted 3/27/02 8:04 PM
No need to ask, I'll tell you how we did. We tied one game and lost two. We didn't advance out of our bracket. Those were our first two losses in a year (since the last HFA tourney).
Now, Mr. BRSA member, if you think that the fact that someone gets offered a scholarship or not determines how good they are, then you are mistaken. Ever heard of Alexi Lalas? Walk on at UCLA. Not an incredible player, but he did make the national team. We do have several players who were offered scholarships, but did not accept them. Why they didn't take the scholarships is their business...but, you do kinda sound like those arrogant select players. You know, the ones where just b/c their mom and dad could afford to put them on a "select" team they were all of a sudden better than others?? We see alot of those at practice.
Also, the first post was a joke--kinda like some teams around here (another joke--or is it?)Finally, BRSA member, let me get this straight---you'd be giving Fahrenheit a FOUR goal spread if we scrimmaged Olympiakos? If so, I'd love to set something up....

Seems as though your teams pride has been hurt. If you lose a game 4-0 in soccer, it was not a game but rather good practice for the winners. All this talk about playing in college and minor league BS is hilarious. Why? It means you got beat 4-0 by some average Joe's. I'm not sure which game some of you were watching. Obviously it wasn't the game you were playing in. Perhaps that was the problem. I guess everyone of you must have had a bad day all game long. Is that possible? Must be. To tell the truth we're just extremely lucky. We're really a terrible team that gets lucky. We just learned how to kick the ball soccer style this past season. We kept bruising the nails on our big toe and we couldn't wear sandals. One more thing before I go. This team of superstars that could beat us by 4. We should have beat you by atleast six. That must mean they would beat you by 8 or 10. The sad thing is, you would probably still consider that a close game.

Obviously the better team is
Farenheit. They've played together for a # of years, better talent in some postions, average goalie & good team
chemistry. Laprepsoccer has never played together as a team prior to this year, does not have a true goalie on the roster and maybe lacks some talent.
With all that said for the "State
Champs" to win by only 4, consider
the last goal a gimme', is pretty
weak. If I played on a team as
talented as them I'd be pretty
disgusted with my teams play. With
the exception of a couple of good
runs all they managed to do was let
the weaker team get inside of their
heads, and cry like little kids, not to
mention taking a couple of cheap shots. So congrats Farenheit on game well played against a weaker opponent.

it seems like laprep is willing to admit they suck so i guess we're all in agreement now - well, here's a link that should just make everyone calm down and be friends

State Champ posted 4/10/02 6:38 PM
So, let me get this straight. All it would take for LaPoop to play against Planet 69 is if an LaPoop player slobs on Sponge Bob's knob? Man!! You guys are freaks AND losers!!!

To LaPrep 1: I appreciate the complements. This is my fist time on the site and after reading the message board I can't resist talking trash to the members of your team that just don't know any better. To the idiot talking about soccer scholarships, don't be stupid. I'll admit, my team, fahrenheit, did not play exceptionally well, but you should feel fortunate that you caught us early in the season. Pray that you don't see us in state, if you go. Another thing, I understand that you may have played in some minor leauge that nobody has heard of and I guarantee you don't want any. Yes,I have the potential to be just as arrogant as you, but I don't normally pull out all the stops because face it, we are all playing BRSA. However, if we do meet again I will be more than happy to set up a jersey # exchange and you can play your normal position and I'll come to you and I promise that will be the last time you get on here and talk shit about soccer scholarships. Please answer this because I'm really looking forward to talking trash with you as long as you would like.
Jersey #13 posted 4/11/02 3:08 AM
I forgot what it was like to be in
Highschool or College but reading
this board brings back memories.
Trash talking is a great thing, playing
cheap and trying to hurt players
toward the end of the game is not.
Which I, #13, am not a frim believer
in. You guys should continue to trash talk both on & off the field, it
adds excitement to game we have all
played almost our whole life, as long
as it's taken the way it should be, fun!
Whopefully you Faranheit cats can
remember that, and trash talk, not
play like trash and try to hurt people.
My is #13, the one who kept talking
smack with your team last time and
the one who looks forward to doing it
again. See ya
sponge bob square pants posted 4/11/02 6:13 AM
all this trash talking sounds like fun, i wish there was soccer on the sea floor where i live so i could play and talk trash.
2 left feet posted 4/11/02 8:04 AM
Well fellow message board members, I guess we figured out who the true BRSA member from above is, Who you ask? It seems to be #13. I do recall an older gentleman in the back, talking trash the whole game, and #13 has forgotten how it felt to be in college and loves the trash talk, so I guess we have our man. So who or what exactly is SELSA? That BRSA member message just kind of built you up. I think I might do a little scouting. So you make sure and play real hard from here on out because I just don't know which game I'll make it to.
I can't say I recall our team fouling, but I do remeber it the other way around. Some teams feel obligated to pull this method with us. I believe the name of it is "Can't stop us, only hope to contain us" method, but one way or another people seem to occassionally slow us down with a foul, however, we do find the goal. In fact, in our past games we have found it more than all the teams we have faced in BRSA. Farhenheit is all about the trash talk, if and when trash talking is needed. You won't find a better trash talking team, but the big difference between Fahrenheit and your team is we back the trash up. It's funny though because all the teams that pose a threat, we get along with. It's normally the games that we totally dominate a team that the trash talking and fouling begins. When I tell you should feel fortunate with a 4-0 loss. I really do mean it. We have never played for SELSA or any college ball from what I believe, but yet our title reads "State Champs." Wheither or not it stays that way, we'll see. And another thing, I wouldn't be worried about one #, I would worry about a whole lot of numbers. Big, red ones. You know "TEAM Fahrenheit." However, I'm sure the team would be willing to sacrifice their #20 to put on a former SELSA player. Don't worry about foul play. Good teams don't foul, they just put an end to what other teams attempt to start.
2 left feet posted 4/11/02 9:25 PM
State Champs in this league is like being a Recreational state champ when you were 13. No one cares and you aren't the best in your age group in state.
The true 2 left feet posted 4/11/02 10:10 PM
Too bad I never said I was the best, just better than you. And you are right about the State Champs and the 13 year old stuff. Just like you or your boy said, I don't really know who I'm talking to anymore, it seems as if someone has borrowed my screen name, we are just out there having fun. So explain to me why the shit talking continues? Not complaining Mr. BRSA member, #13, latest 2 left feet, just curious of why all of a sudden you're not talking about the minor league anymore. Obviously, you are the one who initially thought they were so good. Mr. SELSA

For what country again? you didn't specify.
Seems like if you played for a national team for many years you would have the confidence to know you are capable of playing on the team.
