Tried sending this to your email address but it keeps getting bounced back. This is LadyJane, and I have a short story for you. About 8 years ago I started a school for my children (and other people's children, too) with a group of about 7 other committed people. There was a woman in the group who seemed dedicated, but was very assertive (aggressive?), and she and I did not get along well at all. We didn't attack problems in the same way, nor did we see eye to eye on most issues. However, we had a common goal of starting this school. Eight years later, she and I have become very good friends, and are good supporters of each other's views, regardless of our personal feelings. I think the passion we felt gave the two of us more energy than the other 5 people put together. She has been a good example for me, and provided a good education as well. A long story, perhaps, but I do think that you and I for whatever reason have that same oil and water thing going on. You say I have offended you, and I feel you have done the very same to me. I actually did go back to the old talkboard to see if I could scare up the old threads, but could not. So, I propose a truce. I do respect your views, however, you sometimes come on very strongly. Passionate people do. I know that, so I let a lot of it slide without joining the discussion. I apologize for having hurt your feelings, and for hurting your girlfriend's as well. I don't believe I called her stupid, however. And I would like to pick up and go on with what brought me to the talkboard in the first place-a group of people who came together because of a great band. sounds good to me. i'm not actually out to make enemies, i just get worked up easily over stuff i believe strongly about. |

I'm glad you found it! At some point I hope to meet you. While I don't always agree with your viewpoint, you ALWAYS make me stop and think. Have a great Christmas. |
