You've made a very nice article on the Xtemulation christmas scrooge. I can't believe people are still trying to force the community to post using emus as hostages while 99% of people just want to get the god d mn emulators. If everybody would act this way, we would end up with huge numbers of forum postings (so-called community participation) asking : 'Where the fac* can I find this emulator for free without a point system'. Why don't they just link to the corresponding section on EmuWiki ? I have no bandwith issues. http://www.emuwiki.com |

Because these Emulation sites are crap. No one cares about the community anymore, mostly the userbase is just kids that want to play their games in better quality or they couldn't pay for the system/game. Site ops are wasting their time trying to be "cool" and make some "amazing" emulation site. You know, even the emulator coders are just lame-o, they are amateur programmers that think they know all about programming when they think removing a newline in code is optimization. Emulation scene needs to die fully. |

Well DUDE, you are right about most of that. The problem is that now that everyone else has done all the real research for the majority of every popular emulator/platform, the majority of coders sit now just back & code with all that freely available knowledge that somebody else did. The loss of the R&D process to the majority of coders, in making an emulator really devalues any hotshot new coder's flashy program. This process basically vanishing makes these communities far less fun and interesting as a result. That's progress :/ http://emulmao.emuchrist.org EMU-LMAO |

"If everybody would act this way, we would end up with huge numbers of forum postings (so-called community participation) asking : 'Where the fac* can I find this emulator for free without a point system'. " LMAO 4 realz! So true... Yeah these kiddies over there have some real issues with having to be popular. They've done some downright obviously pathetic stuff to try to get attention recently... Most of it's backfired and it all screams of desperation. Some of them over there seem aiight, but some of the obvious leadership is thinner skinned than a lambskin condom. Wrong hobby and wrong decade for that! Haw! I agree a lot with Dude. I would never call emulation right out dead... But it's a VERY faint pulse of what it was and can no longer be. In fact we just pretty much keep EmuChrist up these days for the small community who still hang around BSing. But all we BS about anymore is mostly movies and pr0n. I don't think an emulator has even been mentioned by anyone on those forums for over a year. It's just plain ignorant for anyone to think that they're going to resuscitate this dead horse hobby at this moment in time, let alone in a manner like XTemulation is going about. I mean really! Trying to provoke a flamewar with an old site-op with an old rep for sk3n3 cred, then crying like a biatch about it when you get owned? Frequently claiming that you're popular yet constantly begging for attention and even holding downloads hostage to get it? I've only got one word for that kind of sissy stuff... SOFT! Pansy stuff like that killed off sites back in the day, and it just reminds us that have been around awhile, just why we lost interest in it. Too many frickin' pansies! I thought Live Journal sucked all those types in. http://www.emuchrist.org It's Sweetness! |

I am the Omegadox from the emu scene and admin of EmuCraze, Im going to try and pull the emulation from the site and make it something else, like a hangout forum for general chat and BS, etc. I have given up on Emucraze long time ago because I was the only one working on it, and Mdk went away for months, so I handed it to nosound, and as you seen, he added crap like games and ghost hunts. Not what I had in mind, I wanted to get a whole base of technical information of each hardware platform into a wiki and collect developers into the forum, I wanted to designed my own PHP powered website, not use that Portal crap that MyBB provides. After I gave up, then there was the bullsh!t on Lino and other things I have seemed to missed, I need to ask Mdk for the whole full story behind Emucraze, I didn't really keep track of the sh!t. Mdk himself has given up on the emu scene, so we are both at the same page where we want it to see it die. Emulation is something I rather do privately now, publicly I am moving to into chat technology and working on a multi-chat client, something I like personally, not because of any scene or what people demand, etc. I want to be free minded and go my own ways because I am tired of fvcken scenes, they get crowded, it becomes a h3ll hole and the drama builds. I enjoyed working on Dolphin Emu in the beginning, when it was small, until more and more kiddies have filled its forum and got so popular and it has so many devs on it now, I don't see the point trying to work on it anymore. I am going to work with Mdk, to start a new path of emucraze, where the whole emulation bullsh!t is pulled from it, we will keep the name but it'll be ironic because it is not related to emulation :P. Anyways, happy New Year peoples! |

I couldn't help but notice how wrong everyone is, by all means I am a decent down to earth person and am not a scrooge. I don't understand the reason me and my community is being targeted and for no apparent reason at that, apparently a few petty slip ups is a big deal? Anyone is free to contact me if they have a problem, I am willing to listen and will change anything which is perceived as an inconvenience. So Omegadox, you've only been around for a year and suddenly you are the know all of emulation? You haven't been around long enough to judge the scene or claim to know whether or not there is something wrong with the scene. Committing some small lines of code to Dolphin doesn't automatically make you in the know about the state of the emulation scene. Sure some things can be changed and improved, but those are only minor inconveniences which don't require much attention to resolve. Why do you think I started Xtemulation? I realized all the flaws in the emulation scene and how emu-sites are administered and decided to start afresh. You are looking at things way too negatively, it's best to remain positive and look at things from the flip-side and realize there are those who want and are willing to improve the emulation scene, just give it a chance rather than giving up. You are giving up way too quickly without giving anything a chance, try sticking around for a while to see if things improve. The emulation scene has been quite slow and dull, this is likely due to the inability to emulate current generation consoles at the time, once this is possible things will pick up again. The emulation scene has always seen these dull and slow times in the past, just not as apparent at Ngemu where activity is continually flourishing. |

By the way lol at taking lessons from Emu-Lmao & crew, one has to wonder why one would blindly hand over all credibility at the expense of a few cheap pokes. :P |

Xtreme, I never said I knew all about emulation, and just because you own a site makes you any better? To me, you just sound insecure for saying that, also don't forget who bashed Emucraze when it was a small beta page, I mean it was an idea mdk and me wanted to try, you act like you have some degree in making a emulation website. Glad, I didn't waste my time knowing everything emulation, because I have left the emu scene and dolphin and I will try to focus for a real career. No real career in emulation a bunch of games that most kids probably play anyways, making an emulator just is a hobby unless you are emulating something legally for business. Squall works on VBA-M because he likes to, not because people want his program. So, I see no importance in the emulation scene, because I only joined Dolphin because I wanted to see Zelda in higher resolution and learn some things about the logic behind the games and of the hardware and to get better at programming, and also because it was fun figuring out things. Now I don't really care anymore, I rather spend my learning the new programming technologies and making something useful that people will want to use. If you are so sure you can change emulation, so be it, but nothing will get done if you spend your time here worrying what other people think about the emu scene or your site, thus I ask, why do you spend your time visiting this website? It serves no real information, so I wonder. I have the right to share an opinion here, so you can't tell me what I know and I don't know or what I can do and not do. The End. |

Nice, Omegadox, you bashed me about those games additions when I was totally against them. Points system (which is pretty pointless), ghost hunts, item stores and other stuff is not mine, I'm only in html/php fixing, css and adding what forum has missing. I'm the only one who keeps posting emulation news, having all those bookmarks I collected, making my browser a total mess. I'm the only one who tries to bring more of an emulation to community, supporting etnmich's compiles can be an example. I helped Actarus on bringing iDeaS back to scene. You're blaming the wrong one, dude. Keep your research, maybe you'll find one who stands behind this nonsense. |

Well then, who is adding that stuff to the site? I assumed because you seemed to be the most active admin and I thought you changed the skins too. |
