Finally saw Cold Creek Manor and was disappointed by the plot & dialogue. Although, I did laugh thru most of it. I mean no disrepect to Stephen, but this film was hilarious. For e.g. the scene with Christopher Plummer "Give me another chocolate cherry." He also called Dale (Stephen Dorff) "You're not a man Dale" I still didn't understand the plot of the film. A former sheep farm butchering ranch on 1,000 acres of beautiful land with a family cemetary and a beautiful brick mansion. Gorgeous interiors, a small barn that fits one horse, and an inground pool. Do you think the people in Iowa who were corn husking way back in the day would take offense? So they find the bodies in a well, Sharon falls down, some miracle she climbs up again.....and the bodies sit down there. We forget about that and focus on Stephen attacking Sharon Stone & Dennis Quaid with a farming tool to kill Sheep. Baaaaaaaaa! I said Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (enter sheep calls here if you must) Dale beats up his girlfriend with a punch to the face (Juilete Lewis) and at the end of the film she feels sorry for him and brings him a rose. I guess Dale's rough sex was memorable for her. She felt the need for closure. Stephen's chest ALL OILED Up for the BIG SCREEN. Thats' what I'm talkin about LADIES. My God, how much OIL did it take to show off that bod. I love a man who mows the lawn by the pool. Next time, more LEMONADE please to quench my thirst. The SHERIFF's best line "All this evidence (we have human teeth, we have a retainer, we have some photos) ALL THIS EVIDENCE is CIRCUMSTANTIAL." Dale gets the bitch finally in the head! Good one Stephen! Here's Johnny type of homage in the film by Mr. Dorff. I'm going to attack you with my farming tool! Watch out kiddies I may dress up as a Sheriff and teach you how to use a hoe next. (use a hoe, literally.) :) |
