I know that there aren't many people who have seen the sequel to Saber Marionette J, but I just had to comment on its ending (and maybe see if I can breathe some life into this comatose board). I won't spoil the ending for the rest of you, but let's just say that I'm impressed. It was almost like a textbook example of how to end a series conclusively. Firstly, on the second-to-last episode, we are treated to an "epilogue" of sorts during the last five minutes or so. Now, were this like Digimon 02 or Tamers, the writers would leave it at that, but instead, they extended the epilogue to the next, and final, episode, taking enough time to show all the minor characters and what happened to them. Anyway, if anyone else has seen the ending, let me know your thoughts. Quartz Falcon "Looks like _someone_ was fond of Luxus' Chinese dress.."

Well, here in the USA, there's only one five-episode disc out--it'll be a while until I see the ending. My over all thoughts so far--it's still fun, still SMJ, but the new art style is a bit, er, crap. This shows up particularly when they run clips from the previous show...

I agree that the new artwork takes a good long while getting used to; it's almost like a bad souvenir from the OAVs (without the Terminator ripoffs, thank God). Anyway, assuming that the next disc is also 5 eps long, expect more character pieces. J2X doesn't really set its plot into motion until episode 10, but some stuff from the first 9 eps get touched on later during the Xi'ang arc. Qui-Gon: I consider myself an excellent judge of character, and I think Jar-Jar Binks is a sensitive, wonderful soul who deserves to live. Obi-Wan: Master, you suck."
