Currently I work at an international school in Jakarta as an independent student service provider. The role of the ISSP at the preschool is to teach the child to independently socialize, communicate, behave and perform in class at an age-appropriate level. I used techniques like sensory integration therapy, occupation therapy, and behavior modification therapy to assist the child both socially and academically. Other responsibilities included consultation and support for the childıs Parents and help to facilitate positive collaboration between parents and school site teams as well as conferring frequently with special education support staff and administrators, also attending IEP, staff, and student progress meetings concerning the child. Prior to this position I worked as senior therapist with a Toronto family, I worked on an individualized plan to teach the child a wide variety of appropriate behaviors, skills, and knowledge. The curriculum included modifying undesirable behavior, and development of skills in language, personal care, play, social, motor, academics, and so on.
