I was just wanting to get in touch with some of my distant cousins. I know that I come from a line of bentz's that were in harrisburg PA and that there were a lot of jacob bentz's. I was just wanting to get in touch with any family members that are or know about that line of the bentz's. I live in southern indiana just north of the ohio river. I haven't really done anything with geneaology before, but ran accross your post. my maiden name is Bentz and am from southern IN as well. i may be able to see if there is some connection. |

WOW. thats where im from originally. my grandfather is Henry Dewitt Bentz, i believe his fathers name was Jacob. |

Wow thats cool. Is your fathers father Jacob Bentz buried at madison?? If so I'm almost positive that we are related. My youngest son's middle name is Jacob. My grandfathers name is Dale Bentz. I'm not sure his father's name but we called him pop bentz. |

Dale is my grandfather's brother i think. i do believe Jacob ( my great grandfather) is buried somewhere in Madison, though i have never been to his grave. |

Charlie, our grandfather's name was Manly. He had no middle name that I know of. My father's name was Manly also. Everyone called him Jr, but he had no middle name either. |
