Well Veterans I am the first fellow to post a message on our new Message Board.
It is easy as typing your name and saying what you want. Please keep all verbage clean, we don't need to use vulgar language to get our points across.
The battle of information must go on . For only with a contant flow of updated information can we work together as a force to be respected and supported by our representatives. These are the people that will in time change the discrimination within the PERS 2 system.
I hope that this message board will contribute to that ultimate goal?
Please email me or post a message any time and let everyone know who or what yopu have contacted to further the process.
Regards
AJ.

AJ,
Thanks for all the hard work that You and Your Son put in on the sight.
Now, we'll really be ready for next year and still give them heart burn for this session yet!

AJ, my thanks to your son for his tremendous computer skills and you, that allowed this web site to come on line.

Even though we didn't get a hearing on our Bill; what could we have done that would have brought it to comittee for a hearing? Did we ask the right questions to the right people, were these politicians sincere to us or did they give us LIP service?

It is blatant DISCRIMINATION, not allowing any and all veterans the right to have our military time included in the PERS2 retirement system, because in the very same PERS2 retirement system the WSP are allowed this right. If the politicians know this very point and go nowhere with our bill, whats that telling us...about the very politicians who are working for us??
I've been working with the Legislature for 6 years as an individual on this very Bill and have gotten nowhere. I'm here tonight to welcome you ALL on board. Together, we can make a difference with new tactics, ideas and perserverance.
We can't set idle for another year and then get back at it. What should be our continuing course of action? Here's what I've been thinking...
(1)Do we look for a lobbyist,
(2) Do we file a discrimination suit against the State of Washington (remember we're non-profit),
(3) Do we get a petition started (no joke here-talk to Tim Eyeman?) and route it thru the unions, and the city, county and state governmental agencies that belong to the PERS2 retirement system, for signatures.
Let us (our web site) know what your thoughts and ideas are. We're all in this together and the larger we become the larger our voice.
Thanks for your time.
Doug

Hi! Everyone... Does anyone know who my dad can contact for job discrimination at his work because he is a vietnam veteran? He is retiring this year and refuses to retire due to his health and because he never ever got a raise! Every day at work he is faced with obnoxious workers and leaders who laugh in his face cause he is a proud vietnam veteran... We are very proud of him... I am proud to be an American! I don't know who to seek for answers for any justice for my father... I am doing whatever I can to help my father. Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated... Thank you and may God be with you! rahb32@yahoo.com
Sincerely,
Robbie Hill
